Wellbeing – just another HR fad we need to pay lip service to? (Series 1)

Wellbeing. It was one of 2017’s key buzzwords and its prominence is looking set to continue for businesses across the board: neatly summarised by Marketing Week’s  headline ‘Workplace wellbeing initiatives are no longer just a nice-to-have, in 2018 they will become a boardroom priority’.  But is it deserving of the hype? What does wellbeing really mean in a workplace context?  Why are we even talking about it when, up until recently, wellbeing has been seen as the sole responsibility of the individual? Given the growing number of initiatives available in this space, which of them should companies choose for their employees?  Finally, what difference can it really make to the bottom line for wellbeing initiatives to be worth any serious investment?

The Co-Thinking blog series will explore all this issues and more besides.  If you have any questions or want to join the discussion, please feel free to comment or email me.
